All Levels Wheel Throwing

Adult Wheel-Throwing Class for Beginner to Advanced Students

Wednesdays 6-9pm |August 5- September 2 

This 5-session course will cover beginner and intermediate wheel throwing techniques. Each class is catered to the student's needs. The basic pottery process will be covered; starting with clay prep, through to glazing a finished piece. Students will practice throwing techniques for various shapes and sizes, along with several decorating techniques. They will leave with new skills and possibly some finished pieces of pottery!

All materials and tools are included.

In addition to 15 hours of class time, students are eligible for 6 hours of solo work time to use during designated, monitored studio open hours to continue building their skills and to make progress on their class projects.

Please note that there are no make up classes, but each student will be eligible for independent study after their second class.

MEET KARA

Kara blends her Hawaiian roots with global inspiration; trying to capture natural elements in her work. She aims to create ethereal and elegant objects that cultivate an environment with meaning, beauty, and introspection. She hopes to help transform everyday moments into extraordinary celebrations of beauty, with pottery that is timeless, exquisite, and inspirational. Kara has been teaching pottery classes and workshops for 5 years in Bend, OR. Along with ceramic art she loves to enjoy the outdoors via bike, foot, or paddleboard, and loves a good dance party.
