Wheel Throwing, Raku & Pit Firing Techniques For Adults 18+
Sundays 10am-1pm | June 1- June 29
Join Yvonne for a hands-on pottery class where you'll spend the first three weeks wheel throwing forms designed for pit and Raku firing. In the final two sessions, head to Yvonne's scenic farm in Tumalo to experience the exciting alternative firing processes of pit firing and Raku, transforming your pieces with fire, smoke, and natural elements.
In addition to 10 hours of class time, students are eligible for 6 hours of solo work time to use during designated, monitored studio open hours to continue building their skills and to make progress on their class projects.
Please note that there are no make up classes, but each student will be eligible for independent study after their second class.

MEET Yvonne
Yvonne is a full-time potter who has been teaching in Oregon since 2017. Her mission is to cultivate a collaborative and inspiring teaching space. Yvonne’s pottery classes are designed to nurture creativity and guide students in discovering their artistic paths. Whether you’re a beginner or building on existing skills, her supportive environment introduces the essentials of pottery, including wheel throwing, glazing, and firing techniques, making it the perfect place to begin or deepen your clay journey.
